2015-2016 Kindergarten Registration February 2 and 3, 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
|
Kindergarten registration for the 2015-2016 school year will take place on Monday and Tuesday, February 2nd and 3rd at Lois Lenski Elementary School. On these dates, parents are asked to come to school to complete registration paperwork between the hours of 9:30 am and 4:30 pm. You will need to bring the child's birth certificate, updated immunization record and closing or rental papers on your place of residence.
Children who will be five years old by October 1, 2015 are eligible for kindergarten in the fall. Please plan ahead for these registration dates and help us by letting those families in your neighborhood know about the Kindergarten Registration.
If you would like to learn more about our school and kindergarten program, please call the school office and schedule a one-on-one tour with the principal so that you can see students engaged in learning.

WEAR? It is a long standing tradition that performers dress up for their audiences as a sign of respect. Students have been asked to wear "picture clothes" for our evening performance.

Meet Urte Land, PTO Representative for Kindergarten Registration
|
My name is Urte Land and I am the PTO volunteer coordinating Kindergarten Registration for the next two years. I started helping with the Kindergarten Registration as my son, Jovan, started 1 st grade and fell in love with it. Jovan is currently a 4 th grader in Mrs. Heissenbuttel's class.
I was born and raised in Northern Germany and moved to the United States in 1997 where I met my husband, Yurii, at work. In 2003 we decided to move to beautiful Colorado and immediately fell in love with it. We cannot imagine living anywhere else in the country.
In 2009 I started my own tour company, AdvantEdge Tours. We specialize in travel for student performing groups throughout the United States and Europe. To name a few great trips we organized: we planned the travel for the Colorado State University Marching Band to the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Ireland and the Littleton High School Marching Band to Northern Germany. Our latest accomplishment was to organize the travel arrangements for the Legacy High School Marching Band to the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA.
Our family loves to go skiing in winter and playing tennis in the summer. In addition, Jovan loves playing soccer as well.
We are so happy to be part of the Lenski family. It is bitter sweet that Jovan is already in 4th grade and we have only one more year left before moving on to Middle School. This school experience - each year - has been nothing less than fantastic and I take the opportunity to be part of it by volunteering as often as work permits.

Love from Lenski February 10 and February 11 from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm
|
Every year, during the Valentine's Day holiday, our thoughtful Lenski students take time during their lunch hour to write out messages of encouragement to individuals in the community who could use some kind wishes and "Cheer". This year, these special Valentines will be delivered to Someren Glen (formerly the Johnson Center) located directly across Arapahoe Road from our school. The facility offers care to seniors ranging from Assisted Living to Hospice Care. There are over 500 members of the Someren Glen community and we would like to ensure that all of these special individuals receive a Valentine from a Lenski student. How can you help? Encourage your student to participate in the lunch hour activity, send in donated stickers to decorate the Valentines (ideally not individually paper backed ones!) or click here to volunteer to help! We will be decorating the Valentine's on Tuesday February 10th and Wednesday February 11th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Lenski cafeteria. |
