2015-2016 Kindergarten Registration - Informational Sessions

Kindergarten registration for the 2015-2016 school year will take place on Monday and Tuesday, February 2nd and 3rd at Lois Lenski Elementary School.  On these dates, parents are asked to come to school to complete registration paperwork between the hours of 9:30 am and 3:00 pm.  You will need to bring the child's birth certificate, updated immunization record and closing or rental papers on your place of residence.

Children who will be five years old by October 1, 2015 are eligible for kindergarten in the fall.  Please plan ahead for these registration dates and help us by letting those families in your neighborhood know about the Kindergarten Registration.

If you would like to learn more about our school and kindergarten program, please plan on attending one of our new parent orientation and open house days.  You may attend at 9:30 AM or 2:00 PM on any of the following dates:
  • January 14
  • January 21

Please let your friends and neighbors know.  You may also call the school office and schedule a one-on-one tour with the principal so that you can see students engaged in learning.

Meet Kelly Aikens, PTO Hospitality Lead
Happy 2015 Lenski families!   I am Kelly Aikens and I have served on the PTO board for two years as the Hospitality Lead. Our daughter, Morgan, started Lenski in Kindergarten and is now in second grade. We also have a son,Tyler, who is a junior at Arapahoe. Here is our story: our son grew up in Highlands Ranch, attending a charter school through 8th grade. After touring and researching a variety of high schools we chose Arapahoe and decided to move into the Littleton School District. Our intentions were for Morgan to follow in her brother's footsteps and attend his former charter school. Once we settled into the community we quickly realized Morgan had a wonderful opportunity to attend a neighborhood school that is nationally recognized and everyone spoke very highly of.   Lenski has been the perfect match for Morgan. Our family has embraced all the school and community has to offer.   I will sign off now leaving you with a quote.  "Good schools, like good societies and good families, celebrate and cherish diversity."

 traffic
Traffic and Parking Safety Issues at Lenski

In an effort to keep children safe when coming to school and  leaving at the end of the day, please keep in mind the following:

  • Please do not park in the bus lanes at the beginning and end of the school day.
  • Take care to drop off and pick up your children only in the designated areas.  Please be sure not to do this near school buses or in the designated bus lanes; we work to keep bus riders and car riders separated at this time for their own safety.
  • When loading and unloading, please be sure to pull over to the right drop off lane  and stay in a single drop-off lane to ensure students are not crossing in front of other vehicles. Please do not pull up next to another vehicle to drop off.
  • Please watch carefully for children as you enter the school's drop-off area, and drive very slowly; children-especially younger ones-can appear suddenly from between vehicles.

Sometimes the only answer to our present traffic and parking problems while ensuring everyone stays safe, is to arrive early or park farther away from the school (have a back up plan with your child during poor weather).  If there is an issue that needs immediate attention, please let the school or the Sheriff's Office know. Thank you for your cooperation, Lenski Office Staff.
