Bingo Family Night - Pre-Order Deadline Today!

The deadline to order the pre-paid tickets for bingo sheets, food and beverages, and drawing tickets is TODAY! Click here if you need another order form. This is a terrific, fun family activity and there are great drawing prizes to win. You won't want to miss it!
The success of the evening is completely due to the terrific teacher and parent volunteers. Please check out the SignUp Genius to donate your time and/or donate concession items for the evening. We added a lot of donation requests for the concessions since last week and we need parents to donate the concession items. We will need the donations delivered to the school by Wednesday, October 22nd.

Lenski Fundraiser at Chipotle

School Spirit Tastes Great
Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a Fundraiser to support Lenski Elementary. Come into the 7515 S. University Boulevard Chipotle on Wednesday, October 22 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Bring in a flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you're supporting the cause to make sure that 50% of the proceeds will be donated to Lenski Elementary.
To avoid lines, come early or order online and come pick up your order. Just be sure to mention Lenski!!

Fall Luncheon for Teachers and Staff

The PTO will host a fall lunch for Teachers and Staff on Thursday, October 23, in the teachers lounge from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.. Lunch will be catered by Jason's Deli. Stop by and pick up your lunch or relax in the lounge. We are looking forward to treating everyone who makes Lenski awesome!

Meet Frances Norris, Coordinator of Box Tops for Education
|
I am Robby Waldvogel's grandmother. Robby in second grade at Lois Lenski. I began helping with the Box Top Team in 2012 when Robby's sister, Hannah, was in 4th grade. She is now a 6th grader. I thoroughly enjoy promoting this program as it is such an easy way for each family to raise money for Lenski. Here are the checks Lenski has received from the program:
11/2/12 - 3/1/13 $886.70
3/2/13 - 11/1/13 $1965.50
11/2/13 - 3/1/14 $1600.61
Click here to see all the products with box tops on them. Each box top collected brings in $.10 to our school and once you start looking for them, you will see that there are lots. Lenski has a remarkable staff. They are ALL caring and dedicated to each student. Each person at Lenski goes above and beyond what is expected of them.

The class that collects the most box tops will win a Root Beer Float Party! Each classroom will have its own special manila envelope for collecting the box tops.

Streets of Southglenn - Spooky Streets

To Do List for October 24, 2014:
3:45pm- Pick up kids from school/ kids ride bus home from school
4:00pm- feed kids a healthy snack
4:30pm- Take kids up to Streets at SouthGlenn for Spooky Streets and make sure to sign in at the Concierge Desk to earn 1,000 points per person! Sign in for the whole family!
5:30pm- head over to Lenski for Bingo night
 Thank you for taking the time to go over to Streets at SouthGlenn and sign in. By getting as many people as we can to sign in at this event we will increase our changes in earning Lenski $2,500 that we can use to help our school earn even more money for PTO needs. Signing in will take just a few moments of your time and 1,000 points per person is an easy and inexpensive way to help the school! Plus the kids will have fun for an hour! Thanks.

Rockin' Rock-tober for Reloadable Grocery Cards!

Good job, Lenski community! For the four weeks ending Oct. 4, you spent more than $42,000 reloading your King Soopers grocery cards, netting our school more than $2,100. Wow! Our goal is $25,000, and we're on pace. You can buy your halloween candy, costumes and decor at King Soopers!
 Please contact Cameron (JCMorgan1969@yahoo.com) or Sandy (S.Schwedt@comcast.net) if you have questions, or need a new card at face value ($25). Checks are payable to Lois Lenski PTO and we deliver via backpack mail.

Food Drive - Please Consider Donating

 October is here, and it is time for Lenski's annual Fall Food Drive! Again this year, we will be contributing to the needs of students within our LPS community. Please consider donating nutritious, easy to prepare, non-perishable foods with kid appeal. For a list of suggested items, please click here. Please do not send glass and/or expired food. If possible, smaller cans are appreciated. There will be donation boxes in every classroom throughout the month of October.

Littleton Stride Spirit Day and Last Run Club Monday, October 20

The Stride is just around the corner!! Have you registered yet? We want YOU and your family to join Littleton Publlic Schools in a beautiful run to support health and wellness in our community! Please help Lenski win a $1000.00 grant and hold onto our magnificent trophy! Not sure you can make it? No problem! Please register your student anyway, and they will surely love their Stride t-shirt! (Performance shirts come in adult sizes only. Youth shirt is cotton.)
**Only 5K and 10K registrations count towards our participation numbers, and only these registrants receive t-shirts.
**Paper registration forms will be accepted in the front office through 10 AM on Friday, October 17th.
**Online registration is available at runthestride.com through noon on Friday, October 24th.
**You may also register in person at Boulder Running Company or Run Colorado through Wednesday, October 22nd.
**Same day registrations will NOT count towards our school prize.

Veterans Day Celebration
November 11, 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

 There will be an assembly at 9:30 and 10:15 AM on Wednesday, November 11, 2014 to honor veterans. If you know of a veteran who would like to attend, please invite them. Send a note or e-mail to jvogel@lps.k12.co.us and let her know who will be coming.
The Veteran's Day assembly will include the posting of the flag by Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Brownies, patriotic music, and recognition of all veterans in attendance.
