Meet Jenna Sellers, Vision and Hearing Screening

My name is Jenna Sellers and I am heading up the Vision and Hearing Screening Volunteers this fall at Lois Lenski. I have coordinated this 6 day event, once a year, for the last 5+ years with approximately 25 volunteers. We couldn't do it without their great support! This service can help proactively identify vision or hearing issues.
I am blessed to have volunteered in so many capacities over the last 9 years that it's difficult to name them all. My husband Ben is a consultant and I practiced commercial architecture for 10 years before moving here. We have 2 daughters, Hannah, an 8th grader at Newton Middle School, and Sarah, a 5th grader here at Lenski. Both kids have had exceptional learning experiences from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Because of the dedicated staff and wonderful families and students, we will be sad to leave in May. We are thankful to have such a great school in our community. Our family will always be strong supporters of Lois Lenski Elementary School and its tradition of excellence.

Vision and Hearing Screening Going on Now!

 The Vision and Hearing Screening Bus is going on all this week for Grades 1, 2, 3 and 5. If the kids use glasses or hearing aids at school, make sure they bring them this week. The class that collects the most box tops will win a Root Beer Float Party! Each classroom will have its own special manila envelope for collecting the box tops.

Food Drive - Please Consider Donating

 October is here, and it is time for Lenski's annual Fall Food Drive! Again this year, we will be contributing to the needs of students within our LPS community. Please consider donating nutritious, easy to prepare, non-perishable foods with kid appeal. For a list of suggested items, please click here. Please do not send glass and/or expired food. If possible, smaller cans are appreciated. There will be donation boxes in every classroom throughout the month of October.

Running Club Sprints Toward Stride

Monday, October 13th is Stride Spirit Day!! Wear your favorite old stride t-shirt to school, and get psyched to run the Stride! Please consider bringing a dollar donation that will help fund registration for several Field Elementary students who would love to run!
There are 3 ways to register for the Stride:
1.) Online at runthestride.com
2.) In stores at Boulder Running Company or Run Colorado.
3.) In school registration. Forms came home in backpacks yesterday. Simply return to school. Additional forms can be found at runthestride.com
If you are unable to come on race day, but would like to sponsor a runner from one of our partner schools, please contact Kim Madden at kimfmadden17@gmail.com.

Enrichment Classes and Clubs at Lenski

| Lenski offers many choices for students to participate in before and after school enrichment classes and clubs. They include performing arts, foreign language, Mad Science, art and many more. Please visit the website for more information on the next session of enrichment programs. |
