Lenski Annual Giving - One Week to Reach Our Goal!

Ding Dong!!

No more wrapping paper...no more cookie dough!!

NO MORE DOOR BELLS!!

Thanks to the Annual Giving Campaign and the dedication of parents, there are no more door to door sales.  Let's continue to work as a community so we reach our $70,000 goal!!

With ONE WEEK to go, we need to continue to give!

Our current total is $35,495.

Please take a few minutes and think about who would support our school if we were selling something as part of a fundraiser.  Grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, friends or neighbors.  Please forward this email to anyone you think might support Lenski and help us reach our goal!  And if you haven't given your donation yet, please do!  Remember we are asking for $175 per student, that's only $14.50 per month but REMEMBER EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS!

Click here to donate online right now.

Also - don't forget about corporate matching - you can double your donation!  As a 501(c)3 non profit, Lois Lenski Elementary PTO qualifies for corporate matching. If your company has this program, please ask about it at work and use this Tax ID number: 84-1501737.  Please also let us know if you plan to do a corporate match.

Thank you for your generosity!

Pupil Enrollment Count
September 24 - October 8
During September 24 through October 8 Lenski will be conducting an attendance count for the Colorado Department of Education.  This count is used to determine per pupil funding for Lois Lenski Elementary School.  The official count day is October 1st.

Lenski does not want your child at school if they are ill, but would encourage you to avoid any non-illness absences such as vacations and appointments.  The office really would appreciate you having your children in attendance as much as possible these two weeks.  If you know it is necessary for your child to be out-of-town during this time period, please check with the office regarding any paperwork that may need to be completed by you.

Thank you for your support in ensuring an accurate reflection of our enrollment so that Lenski can receive the maximum funding to enable them to continue to improve education for your child.

Meet Dana McDermott
PTO co-president

Hi, My name is Dana McDermott and I am the Co-PTO President for the 2014-2015 school year. My husband Shawn and I have two boys, ages 10 and 9.  Connor is in 5th grade and Corbin is in 4th grade.  Both have been at Lois Lenski since Kindergarten.  It is already hard to imagine that we are into our 6th week of school, time is just flying by.  I'm very proud to be able to say that our family has been a part of the "Lenski Community" for the past 6 years.  In the past years, I have been involved in many different projects at Lenski including volunteering on a weekly basis in the classroom , being room parent, and the planning of the Lenski "Bricklayers Ball".  I encourage each and every family out there to get involved as much as you are able.  These times with your children are precious moments and it goes by so fast.  A little goes a long way and makes a huge difference in the school community and the students' lives.  Without the amazing staff, students and parents at Lenski  our community wouldn't be what it is today.  I look forward to seeing you all throughout the school year and helping you all make our "Lenski Community " stronger than it has ever been before.

Here's to a fun and exciting school year!

Dana McDermott
