My name is Holly Malcolm and I am excited to be one the PTO Presidents for the 2014/2015 school year. My husband Jim and I have twin 5th graders, Maverick and Madelynn. I have been on the PTO for the last 6 years in various positions and have enjoyed every minute of being involved. I have a passion for education and I believe every child should be given the gift and power of education.
Our vision as a PTO is to provide a healthy, caring, community oriented, and academically challenging environment for all students. We aim to unite our community for the common cause of enhancing our children's education. We are focused on building confidence, respect, leadership, honesty, and trust in every student through a variety of activities the PTO sponsors. (Running Club, Thanking the Troops, Food Drive, and Love for Lenski just to name a few) Community fundraisers like our Annual Giving Campaign, Bingo Night, Topsy Turvy, and the Spring Fling provide funds so teachers have the extra support to focus on students individually and help each student perform to their highest level. These funds offer our teachers time and support to keep striving for excellence and providing our children a successful education.
I believe Lenski is an extraordinary and exceptional school. Maverick and Madelynn's Lenski journey has been incredible and my wish is for every student here to have the same experience.

Thanks to everyone who has signed up to participate in our blood drive scheduled for tomorrow, September 18th. Our roster of blood donors is full! We sometimes have last minute cancellations. Please email Lisa Zook if you want to be an alternate blood donor at lzook@me.com.
We still need a few food items! If you would like to contribute, please click on Food/Drink Donation.
Instructions for Blood Donors: To keep the schedule running smoothly, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. The Children's Hospital requires identification from all donors, so please bring your drivers license or state id. Lastly, it helps to be well hydrated, so try to drink plenty of water tomorrow.

The Lenski Running Club is gaining momentum! Including Coach Wilson,
445 participants logged in miles during our first session last Monday! Everyone is welcome- please join us for upcoming Monday sessions during lunch recesses on 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13 & 10/20.

 Mark your calendars and get ready for a beautiful run through historic Littleton! The 19th annual Littleton Stride will take place on Sunday, October 26th, and is a great way to support LPS and Lenski Elementary! The kids have already started practicing at running club, let's help them win that trophy again this year! Register online NOW here and save $5 per registration! This offer ends on September 25. (there is a small online processing fee) Paper registration forms will be coming home soon, and beginning September 26, registration will be available at local running stores! More details to come.
