Lenski Wednesday Announcements for 10/16/13

The October 16 Newsletter is now available. This issue contains information about the Fall Festival parties, Veteran's Day Assembly, Arapahoe Wrestling Club and much more. The Events Calendar is also available for October, detailing events and activities for the month.

Lenski's Fall Food Drive

October 1-31, 2013

We hope that you will support our local efforts by donating nonperishable, nutritious food that will serve to sustain students throughout the weekend when food at home is scarce. Please keep in mind that we cannot accept glass jars, expired food items, heavy or really large packaged items - as the food is distributed in backpacks/cinch sacks.

KidPower is coming to LPS!

October 15 & 22

Since 1994, Kidpower of Colorado, a nonprofit agency, has been teaching children and the adults who care for them the skills and self-confidence that they need to stay safe and respond constructively to threatening circumstances. Parents and their age-appropriate children must attend both sessions, on October 15 & 22, from 6-8 p.m. Click on the registration form for more pertinent detail and information about this program.

The Littleton Stride

October 27, 2013

The Stride countdown continues! The Littleton Stride is Sunday, October 27th. Please look for paper registrations coming home in your child's backpack today! You may also register online until 10/25, or in person at Run Colorado or Boulder Running Company. Two lucky registrants will win a $25 gift card to Target, so register today!! Please remember that registrations on race day do NOT count towards our participation prize!

***LET'S PAY IT FORWARD!!! In the spirit of community, we would like to show our support for students outside of Lenski who may not have sufficient funds to participate in The Stride. Please consider having your child bring a $1 donation towards funding other students for The Stride! They can drop off their donation at running club on Monday!

Vision & Hearing - Thank You, Volunteers!

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who signed up to help, or be an on-call person with the Vision and Hearing Screening Volunteers from the last two weeks. We didn't end up using any on-call people this year, but really appreciate all who helped, and all who were ready to step in if needed.

Street Smarts at The Streets at SouthGlenn

Lenski is in FOURTH place, keep turning in receipts and earning points!!!

Spooky Streets, Friday October 25, 4:30-7:30pm. - Pick up your Trick of Treat bag from Guest Services at Streets at SouthGlenn and sign in to earn 1,000 points per person attending! The Streets will be decorated and you can visit the Munster's at the Munster Mash!
