Thanking Our Troops
November 12-16
In celebration of Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving, Lenski adopts a troop each year. This year, we are adopting Nicolas Imrie's troop, Mrs. Flagg's son-in-law's troop stationed in Afghanistan. During this 5-day campaign, students will have the opportunity to showcase Lenski's Superstar spirit by thanking this troop for their service to our country. The service men and women in this troop would love to hear from students and families, especially during the holidays.
To create a letter to send to this troop, please click here for a template of the letter. You'll also find them at our display in Lenski's front lobby. Participation is optional, but this provides a wonderful writing opportunity for all Lenski students. Feel free to include artwork! We're also asking for items for a care package. Click here for a complete list of these items. |
Menchie's Fundraiser

The Stride Final Results
We are still waiting on the official numbers, but we are very excited to say that Lenski won the $1,000 grant for the highest percent participation at the elementary school level. According to the LPS Foundation, we had exceeded our personal record high attendance from past years.
A huge THANKS!!! to all of you for participating and joining over 2500 people in running or walking The Stride. We helped the LPS Foundation raise needed funds for Littleton Public Schools as well as promote an active and healthy lifestyle. |
Lenski Fall Food Drive a Success!
The final numbers are in for Lenski's Fall Food Drive, and we collected an impressive 68 boxes of food! Many thanks to all who donated to this year's Food Drive - you have helped to relieve hunger in your own community. All of the food collected will be distributed locally within the LPS district throughout the school year. In addition to everyone who brought in food, a special thanks goes out to Jeff and Jen Gruidel with Freight Logistics for providing the collection boxes, Lisanna Parkhurst and her Girl Scout troop for making Food Drive posters, and Lecia Ullrich and her Brownie troop for assistance with food sorting. We would also like to thank the following volunteers who gave their time this past month to assist with the boxing, sorting, and transporting associated with this community effort: Cady Collins, Jensen Collins, Colleen Currie, Becky Lattin, Michael Law, Lisa Myers, Dana Nickless, Pat Parkhouse, Shelley Reed, Graham R., Jane Schmeling, Dean Schmeling, Katie Smith, and Kathy Todd. |
