Host A Course
Hosting an MET course of your own can be a big advantage in several ways:
- It is a cost effective way to satisfy CEU requirements for the company.
- You save thousands of dollars on your CEU expeditures.
- You make a nice profit for your clinic - usually $2000-$3000.
It's easier than you think.

What Are Students Saying about the MET Courses?
"Thank you for a great course. You present the subject matter in a logical, accessible way. As I'm constantly trying to eek more time out of each day, it's important to me to attend cont. ed. courses which are immediately applicable to my work. I appreciate your willingness to question established medical practices, both in treatments and the system as a whole. Thank you too for being so candid about your own past. The human perspective is lost in much of physical therapy education. It's so clear that we cannot divorce our physicality from our psychology. You're comfort with that fact is refreshing."

PT tip of the month
Tom found this cool video about nociceptive pain modulation and transmission. The graphics are spectacular. Sometimes patients like to see how nerves do their thing and we perceive pain.

Q: Tom, I have a patient who is chronically anteriorly rotated in her R ilium. Despite her best efforts with her pelvic stab exercises and following all precautions, she just keeps slipping out. Suggestions?
Jen S., PT
A: Hi Jen,
- Make sure the pubic bone is corrected
- Treat the other L side for a posterior rotation
- Have you discussed all precautions dos and don'ts and perpetuating factors?
If so, the it may be time for a stabilization belt to be worn 24-7 for a full month.
Tom Ockler, PT

"Just finished your 2 new videos on Muscle Energy Techniques and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed them. Great information and the way you teach is fantastic! Very easy to understand and comprehend. Thank you for putting this info out there . . . I know I will use these techniques daily with my clients and will encourage my students to purchase your DVDs."

I just wanted to say I'm enjoying your book. I am starting chapter 2, and it brings me back to my days as a hospital rehab director. Our community hospital turned corporate when <private> bought them. Before I got out of there they were shoving the book "Good to Great" down our throats and telling us to "get on the bus," or step aside. I can't wait to read on.

Our Seminars

For those of you who have taken Muscle Energy courses before and are still struggling... Or if you have never taken a Muscle Energy course because you heard it was too hard... These are the courses for you.
Muscle Energy Technique is one of the most effective and valuable manual techniques for the identification and correction of somatic asymmetry and hypomobility. These techniques can be used immediately to find and correct the causes of all types of pain. These are not cover up procedures, but rather techniques that cure the problem with dramatic results.
Unlike manipulative therapies, which presume joints are stuck out of place by some physiologic glue, the beauty of Muscle Energy is that it works through an evidence-based neuro physiologic principle. And that is the joints are held out of place by muscles that have too much tone.
In his 34 years of clinical practice, Tom Ockler P.T. has had extensive teaching experience throughout the United States, Canada, England and Australia.
As a teacher, Tom has earned the nickname "The Patch Adams of Physical Therapy" due to his unique style of injecting humor into complicated subjects. He has developed teaching methods that explain very complicated subjects in easily understandable formats. His five teaching manuals have been hailed by students as the "most user-friendly and useful Muscle Energy manuals ever."
Attend one of our seminars and don't miss this magnificent educational opportunity!
