SafeRide

SafeRide Available 7 Days a Week
Until Wednesday, May 11th
Students will now have access to SafeRide seven days a weekthrough Wednesday, May 11. The service follows the same rules and format as the weekend SafeRide.

For those of you who have not  used it before, SafeRide runs between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. in the area near campus bordered by Water Street, Main Street and Grant Street. Its purpose is to provide students with a safe mode of transportation around the campus community at night.

Students can use SafeRide by calling 301-687-7233 or 301-687-RIDE. Give your first name, cell number,  location, destination and number of students who need a ride.

When the van arrives, the student will receive a call saying they are ready to pick them up. The van then takes them to their destination. SafeRide does NOT transport students to bars or to parties.

SGA and Frostburg State University are collaborating to provide the additional days of service as a way to address and support students' concern for safety. If you have questions, contact the SGA Office, 223 Lane Center, 301-687-4304.
