EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING Student & Community Involvement brought student staffers and volunteers from CES, Lane University Center, ECHOSTARS/Rising STARS/Team Leaders, University Programming Council/Late@Lane and Social Marketing Team together to celebrate the completion of training, to be inspired and to build community through skits, ice breakers and dinner.

It's time to kick off this semester with a flurry of events such as Welcome Back Picnic featuring Caribbean band Ewabo and later Hypnotist Gabe Holmes and Mentalist Robert Channing on Sunday; UPC General Body Meeting on Monday; EH440 acapella concert on Tuesday, Student Org Fair on Wednesday, UPC Poster Sale and UPC Feature Film Jurassic World. As always, you can find a full schedule of FSU events online.

Entering its seventh year, the Department of Student and Community Involvement's e-newsletter SpotlightOnline , which is delivered every Monday, is designed to inform you about student activities and opportunities to entertain, learn and grow.

It's all about connecting the dots and building relationships both here and beyond our campus walls. There is a direct correlation between student involvement and student success. Students who are engaged on campus become better time managers, become critical thinkers, and typically earn higher GPAs. So, we encourage you to get involved and a make a difference in YOUR campus community.

We hope you will continue to subscribe to this newsletter, attend events with your friends, get involved in student organizations through BobcatConnect, seek employment and experiences, apply for internships, and engage in conversation on our social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Remember, it YOUR SUCCESS directly depends on YOUR INVOLVEMENT.

Wishing you much success,
Missy Martz '95 I Social Marketing Team Advisor
