Greetings!

Hello there Bobcats! We know how excited you are for Spring Break, but before you get to throw on your swimsuits and head to a warmer destination, we have one more week of fun-filled events to experience!

On Tuesday, the University Programming Council is playing Citizen Havel, an international film set in Europe. Thursday make sure to attend the Student Government Association's meeting at 7:30 in the Lane University Center Atkinson Room. This is the perfect opportunity to raise any of your concerns about life on campus, or just about anything in general.

Have a fun and SAFE Spring Break!

Take the Pledge

AmeriCorps is proud to be celebrating 20 years of service and we want to spread the good deeds by encouraging others to act kindly. During AmeriCorps Week, March 9th to March 17th, Frostburg State University's A STAR! in Western Maryland program is asking the students, faculty, and staff of FSU to take part in the celebration by committing to doing 5 Acts of Kindness during the week.

We also want to hear about what you're doing. So please take the time to tell us about your acts of kindness so we can share some of them in the following week's Spotlight Online. To share your story or the story of someone you witnessed doing acts of kindness, email voice@frostburg.edu

For more information, contact Lisa Clark, Director of A STAR! in Western Maryland at 301.697.3359.

Citizen Havel

An excellent example of Direct Cinema, Obcan Havel provides an intimate portrait of arguably one of the most important political leaders in Europe.
The film traces 12 years in life of Vaclav Havel (1936-2011):playwright and essayist; co-founder of Charter 77; imprisoned Communist dissident; voice of Velvet Revolution; ninth (and last) president of
Czechoslovakia (1989-1992); first president of the Czech Republic (1993-2003); founder of Forum 2000; and chairman of the Human Rights Foundation Board of Directors and International Council. His legendary status most recently manifested itself on October 5 2012 renaming of the Prague Airport as the Vaclav Havel Airport Prague.
