It is reported that Pat Sajak the legendary host of Wheel of Fortune works only 40 days per year. The 200 Wheel of Fortune Episodes produced for an entire years are recorded over 40 daily sessions in groups of 3 to 5 days.
While I would love to have Mr. Sajak's work schedule and his paycheck! I am thrilled that the God I serve is working on my behalf every day of the year.
God's work is marked by His faithfulness to us; for generations He has responded to our payers and our complaints, He has provided for us in ways seen and unseen. He has been with us every day in joy and suffering not on tape like Wheel of Fortune but live at any time and in any place.
Psalm105 recounts the essence of God's faithfulness to us. Look at the lengths God when to deliver the Israelites from Egypt.
"The Lord brought his people out of Egypt, loaded with silver and gold; and not one among the tribes of Israel even stumbled. Egypt was glad when they were gone, for they feared them greatly. The Lord spread a cloud above them as a covering and gave them a great fire to light the darkness. They asked for meat and he sent them quail; he satisfied their hunger with manna-bread from heaven..... For he remembered his sacred promise to his servant Abraham. So he brought his people out of Egypt with joy, his chosen ones with rejoicing." Psalm 105: 37-40...42-43
God: He is faithful in His promises for those who serve and work for Him.
God: He is faithful to all of us so that we will follow His decrees and obey his instructions.
God: He is faithful He is always working for us.
And that is why I am so thrilled that God does not work like Pat Sajak!
