How's your summer going?  These pictures show you what a wonderful month we've had.

A porpoise frolics in the outer harbor during Capt. Linda's morning row.

--- Castine, July 14th, Bastille Day
A replica of the French frigate, L'Hermione, visited and we were close by.  That's us just astern of the tug preparing to accompany her to the dock.

Many of you have been aboard when we've sailed under the Deer Isle bridge.  Here's a quick clip of Capt. Linda at the top of the main mast on a recent trip as we did it again.

Sweet Maine blueberries are beginning to show up at farmers' markets and roadside stands.  One of our guests' favorite recipes is . . .

3/4 c. sugar

Add
1 egg
1/2 c. milk

Add and mix
1/2 t. salt
2 t. baking powder
2 c. flour

Toss 2 c. blueberries in flour then mix into batter.
Batter will be very stiff.  Spread in greased 8" x 8" pan.

Topping
Mix
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/2 t. cinnamon

Cut in
1/4 c. margarine

Sprinkle topping over batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 min.  Makes 16 pieces.
