Hello shipmates,
We hope you will be able to join us aboard this year. The sailing has been GREAT! The wind's blowing so "the schooner goes"!

The Heritage certainly is the Great Windship. We're enjoying the days of moderate winds and fair tides, covering a lot of ground and seeing the wonderful sights such as the lighthouses dotting the coast. The picture above was taken from the light room of the Rockland Breakwater Light July 11th, the last full day of our annual Lighthouse Week. Several of the windjammers joined together for a parade of sail. What a spectacular sight for those lining the breakwater for the occasion, as well as for us!

Veritable feasts are served every day aboard the schooner with luscious desserts like this strawberry shortcake with hand-whipped cream topped with a chocolate-dipped berry.

There's the picnic on Lobstah Island sometime during the trip, complete with the crew's rendition of the hokey-pokey.
The lobster has never tasted better than it has this year, and the view from the beach is unbeatable. Capt. Doug is still toasting marshmallows over the embers for s'mores after everyone's eaten their fill of lobster. There are a few who can resist, opting instead for freshly sliced watermelon.
No cruise is complete without the traditional buffet on the last morning of the trip...

and a sticky bun... or two.
