Dear Alumni and Friends of Scottsdale Leadership,

We have exciting news to share! Margaret Leichtfuss has accepted the role of Executive Director for our organization and will begin work on Monday, February 2.

Margaret brings 30 years of experience with non-profit, higher education and social service organizations to her new role. Most recently, she served as Executive Director for the Scottsdale Charros and The Charro Foundation where she worked closely with prominent volunteer and civic leaders, community stakeholders and business leaders. She previously served in development roles with Phoenix Children's Hospital, Arizona Community Foundation and as Director of the ASU President's Club, where she led fundraising efforts for two ASU Presidents, Lattie Coor and Michael Crow.

Margaret's energy, focus and creativity, combined with her knowledge of non-profit management, make her an ideal fit for us. She has a deep understanding of the profound impact that Scottsdale Leadership has on its participants and on our community. Her enthusiasm for our mission is evident and we have no doubt that Scottsdale Leadership will flourish under her direction.

An Arizona native, Margaret received her Bachelor's degree from ASU. She is an active supporter of ASU Sun Devil Club, Valley Leadership and Arizona Animal Welfare League. Previously, she served on the board of directors for The Wellness Community and was a member of ASU's Women & Philanthropy, and president of the Public Relations Society of Orange County, CA. Margaret and her husband Mike live in Tempe with their rescued senior dog, Tony B.

Please join me and the entire Board of Directors in extending a warm Scottsdale Leadership welcome to Margaret. I know she would love to hear from you, so please feel free to reach out to her at [email protected] or 480.627.6717.

Warm Regards,
