Tim Cornelius, an accountant for 25 years, took on First Impression in 2002 with his wife, Bamie, and son Clint. They made a decision as a family to do whatever it took to make First Impression the success it is today. None of them had any idea that it would turn into the largest manufacturer of custom iron doors and gates in Arizona and one of the leading custom iron shops in the nation!

When Tim isn't at one of the Phoenix valley
locations, you can find him at home with his wife Bamie or traveling with his children and grandchildren. He also sings and plays lead guitar in his nine piece local band
Night Groove. If Tim looks like a familiar face, chances are you've probably seen him around town at one of his gigs!

Bamie Cornelius, Tim's wife, is part of the artistic talent behind the scenes. She combines her aesthetic leanings with savvy business sense to come up with ideas that really work. Years ago Bamie created the "wreath peg" which comes standard on all
security doors giving the client the option to showcase wreaths or signs for all holidays! Who knew such a simple, discreet steel peg would be such a huge success with virtually all of our clients. We still get the "what a cool idea" response every day!
Bamie is also the proud grandmother to four young grandchildren. You will often find her doing all the great things grandmas are most loved for! She just welcomed another granddaughter and is very much enjoying having two little girls to dote on, as well as two little boys to cherish. She is certainly beloved in the family!

Clint Cornelius, son of Tim and Bamie, spent 4 years in the Navy during the 1990's where along with discipline and service to our great country, he gleaned engineering savvy and operational expertise. This experience combined with his natural talent with design has been a key asset to the success of First Impression. Clint is the driving force behind the engineering, installation, and design creation of what you see here on the
product sample pages of our website.
Clint and his wife, Jen, are also the proud parents of a little boy and girl. They spend their family time together traveling, hanging out in the pool, or snow boarding and fishing in northern Arizona.
Clint, Bamie and Tim make a great leadership team and are so proud of all the employees, clients and business partners that have helped grow the family business over the years!!
The Cornelius family is hands on in the day to day operations of the business.
