- Understand your Prospects definition of Success - Review their websites, understand their trade, ask the right questions, to truly understand your Prospects Needs. How can you show your worth to your Prospects if you don't understand their business, needs, goals etc.
- Know Who You are Working With - Are you working with the Owner of the Company? Purchasing Agent? Designer? Office Manager? Try to get to the decision maker and then try to understand their definition of success.
- Don't Sell Hard - It has never worked. We are not in the business of selling used cars which is a very short term impersonal relationship. We are in the long term Partnership-Relationship Business.
- Stay In Touch - If you want to keep prospects engaged, nurture them. Maintaining contact until their need to buy matches your desire to sell will keep you at the forefront of their minds. Send emails, samples and make calls. Most prospects require a minimum of 10 touches before they become Customers.
- Build a Partnership and Relationship - In the end we only have each other. You have to believe this in your heart and then show that spark to your Prospects in order to turn them into Customers.
