WOC SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The West Ohio Conference Next Generations Leadership is offering two scholarship opportunities for undergraduate students attending accredited institutions of higher education during the 2016-17 academic years.  Learn more  about the scholarship criteria!
The Call To Leadership Scholarship
A $2,500 to $5,000 award available to a full time undergraduate student who has completed one semester full time credit hours.  Submission deadline: March 15, 2016.

The Ethnic Minority Scholarship
A $3,000 award available to an incoming freshman of ethnic origin who plans to attend any United Methodist college or university. Submission deadline: April 15, 2016.
FAITH AND FAMILY EVENT!

Before the Toledo Walleye game vs. Kalamazoo Wings this Sunday, March 13 will be a special pregame event! Church groups and individuals can listen to Team Chaplain Tom Fraser and Walleye players as they discuss their faith as professional athletes. Learn more!
NOTICE FROM PRESIDENT OF MWD UMW

JoAnn Bean passed on March 8, 2016.  She was a member of the UMW Maumee Watershed UMW District Team.   JoAnn was a lifetime member of Collingwood UMC until it closed and now she call herself "The Wondering Methodist" until she found a home church again.  JoAnn was a member of the Friendly Center Guild and helped in any way she could.  JoAnn was a great inspiration and mentor and will be sadly missed. We Love you and thanks for blessing us.

WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH

Women in the United Methodist Church have been concerned for the well-being and lives of women, and have been making a difference since 1869!  Eight women created an organization over their concern for women's health care in India and it has grown to 800,000 members worldwide.  Learn more!
SHAPING YOUTH TO CHANGE COMMUNITIES

Multiple United Methodist Churches participated in a 25-hour community organizing training.  Intergenerational teams of leader youth and adult mentors learned the theology and arc of justice, storytelling, expressions of power, and how to build a team.  Read more!
