DRIVE-BY 21ST CENTURY NATIVITY

Saturday, Dec. 19
6:30 to 8:30 PM
Sylvania First UMC

On Saturday, Dec. 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, Sylvania First will present a live, drive-by 21st Century Nativity free of charge at 7000 Erie Street, across from Plummer Pool.

This drive-by nativity puts an interesting twist into Advent by asking what if Jesus, Mary, and Joseph lived in our current time in history? What might life be like for the Holy Family at the time of Christ's birth if Mary and Joseph used digital technology devices? What if the Magi used modern transportation?

The Sylvania First Live Drive-By Nativity will feature five scenes from the Christmas story, each hosted by a different group from the church: The Annunciation (Luke 1:26-38), Traveling from Nazareth to Bethlehem (Luke 2:1-5), the Nativity (Luke 2:6-7), Shepherds and Angels (Luke 2:8-20), and The Magi (Matthew 2:1-12. Each scene will be told from a 21st century perspective. This information is also available on the MWD webpage by clicking here
