W.O.C. Breakthrough Goals Luncheon
Last Wednesday, the Cabinet had a luncheon celebrating churches in the West Ohio Conference who excelled in one or more of their breakthrough goals so far this year. Reverend Tom Hoover, from Whitehouse Hope spoke on behalf of the Maumee Watershed District, "Nothing good happens in a church without the grace of God and awesome laity, and I've been blessed with both in abundance at Whitehouse Hope..." Whitehouse Hope UMC exceeded their breakthrough goals in three areas: passionate workship, intentional faith development, and extravagant generosity. They serve a community lunch every Wednesday for around 250 people, which has built bridges between the church and their community. They have intentionally expanded their Sunday School opportunities with programs specifically designed for each age group and Hope has focused on a "mission of the month" which has created a culture of generosity at Hope and has lead to their extravagant generosity.

Some other items to put in the purses could include, combs, brushes, nail clippers, emery boards, lipstick, nail polish, small mirrors, tissues, wipes, etc. anything that fits in ladies purses that puts a smile on their face. These purses will then be donated to women in different shelters across Toledo.
Right now, Trilby has enough purses, and are looking for donations of supplies to go inside them. If you have questions, call Karen at 419.304.7913 or to arrange a pick up of donations, call Trilby UMC at 419.472.2103.
