 In his Annual Conference Offering letter to the Members of the West Ohio Annual Conference on February 3, Bishop Palmer asked that a "Sunday to Save Lives" be held in each and every church in our conference between Ash Wednesday and Pentecost.  Lenten Study Series at Rossford UMC Circles of Grace series will examine racial understanding in AmericaRossford UMC's Lenten study series this year will examine how we can engage in gracious conversations and have gracious attitudes and understandings involving various racial groups and issues in America. Dr. Robert Ball will begin the series Feb. 25 with an introduction to "Circles of Grace Conversation, and the following four weeks will feature, in order, discussions of "Islam and Terrorism," "Racism and Prejudice," "The Hispanic Experience in America," and "The Black Experience in America." Dr. Amjad Hussein will lead the discussion on terrorism March 4, Rev. Lawrence Keeler the discussion on prejudice March 11, Veralucia (Lucy) Mendoza the segment on Hispanics on March 18, and Rev. Larry Whatley the discussion on black experience on March 25. Each class will begin at 7 p.m. in the parlor of Rossford UMC, 270 Dixie Hwy, and will run 60 to 90 minutes.Click here for more information. |

Trevor has a successful background in youth ministry and will lead four sessions toward developing and inspiring great leadership in Children's and Youth Ministries. TO NICARAGUA
A United Methodist mission team to Nicaragua June 22-30, 2015 is forming. There are still openings so this would be a great time to join in this interesting and very worthwhile ministry. The cost is $1,300 per person. (Financial aid to enable participation may be available from the district in which the participant worships.) Many of the activities will involve work with children in schools, hospitals and at a Nicaraguan Methodist Church. There will be time for worshiping, sightseeing and shopping as well. The five-day PAUMCS Institute is designed to stimulate professional growth and development of the individual. Participants are introduced to business concepts required for understanding the financial operations of the church as well as relationships with the pastor, church employees and members of the congregation. Studying such concepts with professors selected from a strong business school faculty and other experts encourages secretaries to become better informed and more effective church administrators.
