You and Your Church
Can Help Feed the Hungry!
UMM Truck

We want you to understand how important this truck is and why the UM Men ask you to put a line in your budget of $200.00 or send an individual donation to support the truck which in turn helps us with our mission to feed the hungry. Without people like you, we could not do what we do, answering God's call to feed the hungry.

PoinsettiasUMM Poinsettia Sale

The Maumee Watershed District U. M. Men are selling poinsettia plants again this year in support of the Ministerial Scholarship fund.   Since 1950, the district UMM have used the proceeds from flower sales to support district students going into ministry. Many candidates have been helped through the years. This year's poinsettias are in 6" pots with five to seven blooms, and come in white, pink and red. Cost is $8.00 per plant. Orders need to be placed by December 7th, with pick up December 20th, 2014. There will be several locations around the district to pick up the poinsettias.

Contact for the flowers is Jim Stark , who has been in UMM for 35+ years and goes to Living Faith UMC in Holland. You may call or e-mail Jim to place an order, or  to use the order form and mail it in.

FREE Advent Devotions Program 2014

November 30 - December 24

Reclaim the spiritual dimensions of the Advent season this year with the Society of St. Andrew devotional booklet, Prince of Peace. Make room in your heart and in your busy days throughout the month for a few minutes each day reading scripture, reflecting on a brief meditation, and praying, in preparation for the Savior who is to come.

Used each year as a spiritual underpinning for Advent by hundreds of congregations of all denominations across the United States, these daily meditations-all new for 2014-are the words of people of faith, both pastors and lay persons, from all walks of life. Click here.

Meetings for 2015 Conference Health Insurance Information
Two informational meetings are planned for those who participate in health insurance through the West Ohio Conference Aetna, HRA, VSP, and Dental plans. Although there are no plan design changes and only modest premium increases, this time is scheduled for participants to provide information, to answer questions and to problem solve, including learning exactly how to use 2014 HRA dollars for 2014 claims after January 1st. Anyone considering making enrollment or policy changes should do make those changes before end of year. Clergy looking at retirement changes, or those retirees that will move from Aetna to the Humana policy during 2015 will receive an overview of the process have a chance to find out about policy changes as well. Representatives from Aetna, Humana and the Care Center, plus West Ohio Conference staff available. To find out more go to: November 12 Informational Meeting  or December 9 Informational Meeting
