Get ready for Financial Peace!
The Holgate Ministerial Cooperative is bringing Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University to the Holgate area this fall. The informational preview session will be August 17th at 6:30 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Holgate. We will be taking registrations that week so that materials can be ordered no later than the 25th of August. Classes will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sundays at 6:30--8:00 p.m. from September 7th through November 2nd. The cost to each household is approximately $96.00 (but could be less, depending upon the number of households represented in the registered class membership). Please consider not only your own financial needs but also those of your friends, relatives, neighbors, and co-workers. This is open to one and all. Please invite folks. If anyone needs more information, please call Pastor Susan St. Peter, class coordinator, at 419-619-1797. Thank you |
Prepare NOW for
National Hunger Action Month
This September
Nearly 50 million people in the United States today are hungry or food insecure. Yet in this country, we will throw away over 133 billion pounds of good food this year. As people of faith, it is time for us to take action-to say that this situation is unacceptable and to do something about it.
September is National Hunger Action Month. Plan now to make September 2014 a time for your congregation to stand together against hunger, joining with the Society of St. Andrew to see that each person in this country has healthy, nourishing food to eat.
It can be as simple as distributing this Free Prayer Calendar for the month of September.
