Rev. Marla Brown says
"Thank you & Farewell"

Even though my husband, Len, was born and raised in Toledo, I was personally unfamiliar with the Maumee Watershed District when I was appointed as your District Superintendent six years ago. The district staff helped me visualize the district by putting a northwest Ohio map on a large bulletin board and placing push pins where each of the churches is located.  The bulletin board stands on a large easel in my office. I have used the map repeatedly as I talked with staff, pastors and visitors about the uniqueness and the connectedness of the congregations across the district.

Now when I look at the push pins I see, in my mind's eye, places and faces.  Click here to read the rest of the story.

We are an ecumenical, non-profit  national organization which "Gleans America's fields to Feed America's hungry". More food is wasted in this country every year than is needed to feed the 50 million Americans (almost half are children) who don't get enough to eat-and to feed them every day! The Society of St. Andrew (SoSA) partners with farmers, volunteers, financial supporters and hunger relief agencies to bridge this hunger gap simply and effectively by salvaging fresh food that will go to waste and delivering it to those in need. Overhead for SoSA is 3.28% which means 96.72 cents of every dollar goes to feed the hungry. SoSA's partners prove that

Gleaning America's Fields and Feeding America's Hungry  makes a significant difference in the lives of the hungry.

Here is some amazing information from the Society of St. Andrew to share in your areas.
