What do
we know?

We know that not only are 1,078 children sold into the sexual slavery each year on average, but another 2,879 children are susceptible to sex trafficking. We know that the average age of a child that is first exposed to prostitution is 13.  We know that 35% of Ohioans in the sex trade started before they were age 18. We know that Toledo, Ohio is the #4 ranked most dangerous city in the U.S. when it comes to human trafficking and the sex trade industry. We know that because of our proximity to Toledo and the I-75 and I-80/I-90 interchange children in our community are at risk of becoming victims of human trafficking.

What can we do?

Attend a 2 hour workshop on Human Trafficking for parents and children (6th grade - 12th grade)

Date: April 27, 2014

Time: Church Staff and Leaders 3:00

Parents and Youth (separate workshops) 4:00 - 6:00

Urban Mission Project
Urban Mission Project
St. Paul's UMC Toledo is excited to begin another year of working with our community through residential property improvements. We are happy to partner with other churches in the area and The United North project. Our program runs on volunteer groups and individuals throughout the warm months of the year. We are currently seeking church groups, including senior high youth groups, to participate in a week-long mission project. The more groups we have, the more our community benefits! Please CLICK HERE for more information on this exciting mission opportunity.
