Local preachers on a resting mission
Ministers use 'Clergy Day Apart' to reconnect with peers
A "Clergy Day Apart" is not a time when ministers step away to take a break from their pastoral presence. Rather, it's when they gather for some intensive faith work or ministerial education with other preachers.

Henderson Settlement Thanks YOU!
We just want to take a moment to thank you for all of the support you gave us in 2013! As many of you know, December 3rd was Giving Tuesay. Last year the GBGM had $500,000 to use as matching funds that would be given to the ministries on that day. Through your support we raised $67,766 on that day. After a tough year financially, this was a real boost! If you were unable to give that day, that is okay. You can give through the Advance Special any day of the year. All you have to do is put our number, 773365, on your check and put it in any United Methodist offering plate, send it to your district office or
100% of that donation will make its way to Henderson Settlement, Frakes KY.
However, we need your prayers just as much as we need your financial support, so please remember to pray for our ministries, staff, and volunteers throughout the year.
Lenten Project:
Living the Questions through Lent

Lent, the season of the Christian Year that is typically observed as a time of simple living, prayer and fasting leading up to Easter, begins today, on Ash Wednesday [March 5].

Whatever your practices this season, might you consider joining us in this weekly practice? Share with the community how you've responded to each theme for the week.
