"The Season Is Changing"

Most people are tired of winter.  This winter has been long, cold and snow is everywhere.  I've heard people complain as well as long for the next season which brings warmer temps as well as newness of life.  I love winter... always have.  When we have a mild winter I miss the cold and snow.  When we have a winter like the one we are in the midst of I don't want it to end. As with the seasons of our calendar all seasons must come to an end for the next one to begin - the same is true in life.  If we want the next chapter to start there must be a conclusion to the chapter we're in. Spreading God's Word Through Song!!!
GloryWay Quartet

The Glory Way Quartet is a Southern Gospel concert music ministry that is in need of a UMC church to minister in on Saturday evening, March 15. All they request is a love offering and a meal. Very simple.

You can preview their ministry at www.GloryWayQuartet.org.

 During the Lenten Season

(the 40 days before Easter)

you are invited to join others in a

Multi-Sensory Experience of Prayer

Each week during Lent, you will be led in a prayerful activity that involves making crosses.  You will learn from Ann Marie Montgomery a bit about the history of different crosses, ponder God's Word by reflecting on a different verse each week and each week you will make a different cross using a variety of objects.

You don't have to be a trained artist to create something meaningful.  You don't need to be able to draw a straight line in order to transform ordinary and discarded objects into something creative.  Children are welcome to participate but must be old enough to handle a hot glue gun.

This Lenten Season, why don't you consider practicing the discipline of prayer in a new way?

We have two sessions planned at the Ark,

2080 Brookdale Road

Thursday nights

March 13 - April 10
7:00 p.m.

and

Saturday mornings

March 15 - April 5

11:00 a.m.
