2014 WOC Historian of the Year and Church Anniversaries One of the duties of the West Ohio Conference Commission on Archives and History is to assist local churches in preserving their records, compiling their history and celebrating their heritage. We do this in partnership with the United Methodist Historical Society of Ohio (UMHSO). Annually, the UMHSO recognizes the Local Church Historian of the Year and churches celebrating significant anniversaries in both the East and West Ohio Conferences.
