Dear Teachers,
As teachers and parents, this terrible tragedy hit us especially hard because these were our colleagues and our babies, too. This was our school, our safe haven of learning and nurturing that was so inexplicably violated. Our hearts go out to the families of the victims. I don't know what else to say.
If you can, please take the time to have your students send words of support to:
Sandy Hook Elementary 12 Dickenson Drive Newtown, CT 06482
Also, we will be donating 10% of all sales today to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund out of our commissions. And anyone wishing to contribute directly--and I know many sellers are donating ALL of their sales--you can join TpT by sending your donation to:
Sandy Hook School Support Fund c/o Newtown Savings Bank 39 Main St. Newtown, CT 06470
Teach and be well,
Paul Edelman Founder, TpT
P.S. We'll be taking a newsletter break next Sunday and be back on Dec. 30th in time to help you plan for next semester.

TpT SPOTLIGHT
It seems like an appropriate moment for our annual ritual of making--and hopefully not breaking--New Year's Resolutions. By clicking through, you'll find dozens of teacher-created approaches.
Congratulations to Tessa Maguire, the latest to surpass $20,000 in earnings, who blogs at Tales from Outside the Classroom.
TpT teacher-author The Primary Techie has created and posted a free download entitled Sandy Hook Elementary Memorial Project
described thus: "How can we make any sense of this tragedy? What can we say to our children at school on Monday? Let's use this opportunity to instill how important it is to be kind to one another. Let's come together in love and support. You can make this project with your own family, your class, or your whole school. The more hearts you have, the bigger the circle becomes. On each heart, students write kind words to another student. The hearts link to form a circle of kindness and love."
