 
Union Election Victory!
Greetings!
Time to breathe easy again. Working families exhaled a collective sigh of relief when the votes were tallied on Election Night and a President sympathetic to the needs of the middle class was re-elected, Democrats held the Senate, Elizabeth Warren was elected to the Senate from Massachusetts and gay marriage prevailed in several states. It was a good day to recognize that the 99% of working men and women in this country are the ones who need to be protected, not the other way around. And to top it all off, California voters turned back Prop. 32, which would have decimated the power of unions and collective bargaining, by a resounding 8 points margin, and voted to fund education by passing Prop. 30.
With all well on the political front, it’s now time to turn our attention to the holidays! First up is Thanksgiving, with all that delicious food and thoughts of family dancing in our heads. The holidays are also the most important time of the year for celebrating the values of the labor movement: quality, value, safety and community. So be sure to Buy Union, Buy American!
