> 10/7 MFG Day Events in Virginia
Manufacturing Day is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Although Manufacturing Day officially occurs on the first Friday in October-this year it is Friday, October 7, 2016-any day can be a Manufacturing Day so you may find some events held on other dates than October 7th.

Join this interactive session to not only understand the requirements, but also brainstorm with like-minded peers who are addressing the same issue.
The 2016 Capital Cybersecurity Summit will feature keynote speakers and panels offering unique insights on emerging cybersecurity technologies, digital solutions, operations and enforcement from the private sector, government and academic perspectives. The Summit will also include a technology showcase at which cybersecurity companies from the DC, Virginia and Maryland region can promote their products and services, network, and connect with potential customers, partners, investors and employees.
> 11/10-11 2016 Virginia Industry Forum - Williamsburg
Save the date for November 10-11, 2016 as the Virginia Manufacturers Assocation (VMA) holds its Virginia Industry Forum at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg. It is an opportunity for manufacturers from across the Commonwealth to tackle major issues facing industry. Automation, productivity, supply chain and technology are some of the key themes for Forum.
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a process to maximize the productivity of your equipment's service life. This workshop is designed to show that TPM goes far beyond traditional maintenance to attack equipment-related waste, including: downtime, reduced operating speed, defects, frequent adjustments, changeover, and breakdowns. Participants are provided a method to proactively maintain machines and equipment at their peak productivity.
