Don't Hope to Have a Happy New Year...MAKE it a Happy New Year!
    
So now that the new year is here, the question you have to ask yourself is, "How healthy do I want to be this year?"  

 

 

Whenever I hear "Have a Happy New Year", I think to myself that there is a big difference between hoping to have a healthy year and making it a healthy new year. 

 

One involves a "victim like" attitude...I hope everything goes alright.  I hope I'll stay healthy. The other takes a much more proactive approach.  In other words, you can choose to a large degree

your state of health.  

 

Let's take a look at the top 3 killers in this country right now, cancer, heart disease and diabetes.  It's been documented over and over that up to 90% of each of these diseases can be prevented just through inexpensive, common sense living habits!  

 

Think what that could do for our healthcare system if the incidence  of these diseases dropped by 90%!!!  

 

Also documented over and over is the fact that the 4th leading killer is medical and prescription errors.  So by simply taking some common sense health actions, you can create a better life and have a 90% chance of eliminating these diseases and mistakes from your personal world!

 

So what can you do to lower your chances of creating these diseases in your body?  It's really simple...

 

1.  Clean up what you eat!  You can easily start this tomorrow and not have to buy 1 vitamin or bottle of pills. 

 

Simply do this: the next time you go to the grocery store, read the labels of what you're buying.  If you can't pronounce it, don't eat it!  

 

How hard is that?  We can all pronounce, apples and vegetables and potatoes, etc.  Get it?  This is not hard my friend!  Things with names that sound like chemicals usually are just that...chemicals! 

 

And I can't tell you how many people literally have thousands of dollars of health pills in their cabinet, yet eat every day at McDonalds! 

 

I've even heard patients tell me they can't afford organic food! Yet they are constantly buying this month's super pill at some exorbitant price that promises to take them to the next level of health.  

And even if it does cost a little more, compare it to the cost of taking care of your disease!  You don't need a doctor to tell you what to eat!  It truly is just common sense!

 

2.  Get out and do something!  Exercise!  Walk! Play! People on bikes Burn calories. It's not hard.  Just get out and

do something you like to do as long as it raises your heart rate 4-5 times a week.  
 
Need to lose weight? Here's a secret that the diet people don't want you to know...
if you burn more calories than you take in, you'll lose weight!  Folks, this is not rocket surgery!  

 

And you don't need to spend half your salary on diet fads. If you'll follow suggestion number 1, you'll have a good start with that, simply because good food doesn't have the fat- adding calories that junk food has in it.  

 

Have a smartphone?  There's an app called

"my fitness pal".  It's a free download and you can track your intake on a day-to-day basis.  Keep your calories around 1500 and burn 2000 and you will lose weight.  I promise!

3.  You have a brain.  You have a body.  Your subluxation brain needs to tell your body what to do 24/7.  It does so by communicating through your nerve system.  It works perfectly unless there's interference somewhere. Then it can't work as well.  

 

This is what chiropractors do...they remove the interference between the brain and your body so your body can do what it knows how to do better than ALL the doctors in the world put together in the same room...heal you and work to keep you healthy.  If you understand the concept that you are constantly in a growing and healing mode, then you'll understand the importance of getting the right messages to the right place.

 

There you have it...3 simple rules to follow in order to help you attain your highest health potential.  

 

Like I said earlier, you have a choice. You can either "hope" to be healthy and not "catch" any diseases or you can become responsible for your own health potential and drastically reduce your chances of disease.
