| Gross Catholic High School |
Greetings!
"We adore you, oh Christ, and we praise you. Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world."
There is no more beautiful time in the liturgical calendar than the Easter season. And there is no more beautiful time here at school. To have the opportunity to experience the Stations of the Cross and Reconciliation with our students before our break, and then liturgy with the entire student body when we returned to school is so incredibly special. It certainly reminds us how fortunate we are to be able to educate children in a faith-filled environment --- a place where the expression of our Catholicity is woven into the very fabric of who we are and what we do. Also, to witness the reverence and solemnity with which our students participate in these activities reaffirms our commitment to continue our mission as a Marianist school and as a Catholic school.
As we continue with the Easter season, we pray for all those who support the mission of Gross Catholic and for God's continued blessings on all of us. We pray also for our new shepherd, Pope Francis. As he serves God's people with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, may we all be inspired by his example to serve others and may our faith continue to grow.
With best wishes,
Dr. Dorothy A. Ostrowski President

There are a many students who have an increasingly hard time focusing on studies as the weather outside gets nicer and summer gets closer. This is a time as a school community that we need to work hard to help our students focus on finishing the school year strong.
Teachers can help students finish strong by maintaining classroom routines and high expectations. Teachers should always try to engage students in the learning, but can especially plan for this time of year by picking topics in the curriculum that help to engage students in their learning. Teachers may also have projects that give students choices to help match their interest. Our staff tries hard to make sure that students are engaged and learning through the end of the year.
Students need to make sure that they stay focused on the goal of finishing the semester strong. Students should continue to work hard to maintain their focus on what is being learned in the classroom. They should meet the deadlines for assignments and tests. Students should try to make sure they are studying hard and maintaining an attitude conducive to their learning. It is very tempting to catch "spring fever" and falter toward the end of the semester. Maintain your focus and "Finish Strong".
Sincerely,
John Schultz Principal
