Maine's Favorite Amusement Park opens for the season Saturday, May 9!
Saco, Maine - Funtown Splashtown USA is preparing for Opening Day of the Ride Park scheduled on Saturday, May 9 at 11:00am, the park's 49th season in Saco, Maine. The Water Park is scheduled to open for its 20th season on Saturday, June 13 at 10:00am. Funtown Splashtown USA is Northern New England's largest water and amusement park. We are a convenient trip from most locations in the Northeast, and home to:
- Excalibur, New England's largest all-wooden roller coaster;
- Thunder Falls, New England's longest and tallest log flume ride;
- Dragon's Descent, Northern New England's tallest vertical thrill ride;
- Mount Olympus Water Slides featuring launch capsule technology, the unique "Flatline Loop" and mat racing slides.
- Mammoth and Tornado family slides
- Pirate's Paradise, the interactive rain fortress

Happy Birthday Astrosphere
The season marks the 40th year that Funtown has been home the Astrosphere, the unique dark ride experience that puts the Scrambler ride inside an air dome. Even though the imagery displayed on the ride has changed over the years, the music remains the same: "Fire On High" by ELO: Electric Light Orchestra.
During the season, the park will have special events for the ride with guests receiving special gifts.

20 Seasons of Splashtown
2015 marks the 20th season since the Cormier Family acquired the waterpark now known as Splashtown USA. To mark this occasion, the park will be having a special celebration on Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14 with special entertainment and giveaways throughout the weekend.

Community Week - June 22 to June 28
For the second season, Community Week at Funtown Splashtown USA will be working with several non-profit organizations to raise needed funds. Starting on Monday, June 22, the following organizations will be spotlighted:
Monday June 22 - Grahamtastic Connection
Tuesday June 23 - Shriner's Childrens Hospital - Boston
Wednesday June 24 - Animal Welfare Society
Thursday June 25 - Maine Children's Cancer Program
Friday June 26 - STRIVE / PSL Services
Saturday June 27 - Saco Food Pantry
Sunday June 28 - Saco Food Pantry
For each guest that purchases a bracelet, the park will donate $1.00 to that organization.

Twice the Fireworks!
Each year, Funtown Splashtown USA has it's Independence Day fireworks show on July 3rd. This year, we are adding a second fireworks show on Saturday June 27. Both fireworks shows will be at 9:30pm, and will be visible from both inside and outside of the park.
- Saturday June 27 at 9:30pm - Presented by Atlas Fireworks
- Friday July 3 at at 9:30pm - Presented in partnership with Cinemagic Stadium Theaters

Funtown Splashtown USA holds many special events throughout the summer including blood drives, Mother's Day weekend and Father's Day weekend celebrations, Military Appreciation Days, First Responder Appreciation Days, and many special educational events.
