Talking with kids about the Patrick Cannon issue
On March 26, 2014, Patrick Cannon was arrested on federal public corruption charges, and then resigned as Mayor of Charlotte.  He is alleged to have taken bribes in return for offering assistance on city-related issues. No matter the outcome, this is an important historic event for the city, and a relevant learning opportunity for students. Here are a few topics and essential questions for non-political classroom dialogue.
