Join us this Sunday, April 24 at 5:00 pm for a Celebration of Ministry of Easton Davis, our parish youth director since June 2012.  Easton has been called as the youth missioner for our diocese, and he will assume his new role full-time beginning June 1.
We will have a wonderful dinner and loads of fun as we give thanks to God for the blessings we have received through Easton's ministry among us.  No need to bring a thing - everything is taken care of.  It will be a grand evening - so please plan to join us!

Youth Sunday & Parish Cookout
Sunday, May 22 @ 11:15 Mass
Last Day of Sunday School + Teacher Appreciation
Youth Sunday + Parish Luncheon
Mark your calendars now for Youth Sunday!  On Sunday morning, May 22 at the 11:15 Mass, we will give thanks for young people of our parish and our rapidly growing youth ministry program.
We will celebrate the success of another great year of Sunday school as we thank the teachers officially at the 11:15 Mass.  And at the 11:15 Mass, teenagers will be serving as ushers, greeters, lectors, chalice bearers, and one of our seniors, Anna Siegfried, will be our preacher that morning.
The entire day will conclude with a festive and delicious cookout at the talented hands of our Knights of Columba.  They will provide the main dish, and everyone is asked to bring a vegetable or side dish to share.  The cookout begins at 12:30pm.
Please plan to join us for the celebration and parish luncheon at 12:30pm as we rejoice in the growth of our Christian Education and Youth Ministries!

Food Pantry Ministry

Thanks to St. Columba's parishioners and others who supported food pantry donations in March that totaled 233 pounds of food that was delivered to The Place of Forsyth County - thank you!!  We will be providing April's donations of non-perishable food to Emmaus House, collecting food each week leading up to the 3rd Sunday of the month (April 17th - Breakfast Sunday), which is the official collection day for the month.  With Spring Break occurring in April and many people on vacation, we need special help this month on donations. We'll continue with the same list of needs as in recent months - 'hearty' or 'chunky' soups, canned or boxed milk, and canned pasta (ravioli, Beefaroni, etc).
Other needs include canned vegetables, canned fruit, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, and other items that can be stored for a long period of time.  Donations can be placed in the tubs located next to the welcome table in the narthex - no glass bottles, please!  Please begin or continue to help in this effort to assist local families in need - thank you!

Sunday Mornings
Will We Outlive the Church?
April 10 - May 22, 2016
10:10 am (In the Library - Cottage #102)
Religion in America is changing rapidly.  Christianity around the world is changing faster than it ever has.  Our experience within the Church is changing.  We are moving into uncharted waters as a people still wanting to be believers of God and living lives of faith, but distanced from a regular practice of worship, prayer and fellowship.  We will look at the ways Christianity is changing and what that means for us and for our children and grandchildren.  Things will never be the same... but that's what God has been trying to tell us all along; we just haven't been listening.  Until now.
