Coffee Hosts Needed |
Any Sunday!
We all enjoy our Krispy Kreme and coffee each Sunday. There are currently 3 teams that work together to make sure those treats are there and are served with a smile and conversation. Unfortunately we do not have enough to fill up each of the teams we need to cover the full month of Sunday coffee hour. Volunteers serve only once a month and before or after the Mass you ordinarily attend each week. Krispy Kreme donuts are provided, and the team members divide up the other items to provide (juice, coffee cream, fruit, or other goodie). We are especially short handed on the 4th Sunday of each month, but all teams would welcome additional volunteers.
If you have any questions or if you would like to join a coffee host team, contact Wendy Lambert via email or at church any Sunday morning.

Many thanks to all those who provided gift cards and for those who have signed up to help with the shopping. If you would like to help children with the shopping or for more information, contact Linda Reid ( via email).

Annual Parish Meeting & Vestry Election
|
Sunday, January 10 at 5:30 pm
Our Annual All-Parish Meeting will take place at 5:30 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2016. We'll begin with dinner (smoked Boston pork shoulder & all the trimmings, provided by the Knights of Columba) and then move into our annual parish meeting. It's an exciting time in the life of the parish as we celebrate the blessings we've all shared in our parish and look into the coming year of new programs, mission opportunities, and growth. During the annual meeting, we will take the opportunity to thank those who have served on vestry for the past three years and will rotate off upon the election of new vestry members. Please join in thanking Dale Humphries, Margie Hutson, Kendra West, and Linda Williams for their outstanding service and sharing of their time and talent in ministry leadership during these past three years. We extend a special thanks to Dale who has also served as our senior warden this past year. If you would like to nominate yourself or another parishioner to be elected to the vestry at the annual meeting, please submit their names to either of the parish wardens (Dale Humphries or Brian Dempsey) by Sunday, January 3 or complete the nomination form found on the parish website. Ours is a 12 member vestry with each member serving a three-year term.

Backpacks of Love |
Want to help feed a child whose family does not have enough money to buy food on the weekends when children are out of school? You can make a difference in the lives of the increasing number of people who live in the what is now called a "life of food insecurity." These families are right in our community. In Forsyth County alone, estimates are that over 8,100 children live lives of food insecurity.
This Sunday there will be a special insert in the bulletin about how you can help by providing a backpack of love, filled with simple food items that help families feed their children through the weekend. Please join our group of volunteers and help eliminate food insecurity in our community!

And Jesus said to them, "Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink."
