Blessing of Animals
Sunday, October 4 @ 4pm
Join us on Sunday, October 4 for a special liturgy asking God's blessing on our pets!
Bring your cat, dog, turtle, guinea pig, rabbit, or goldfish...whatever species your  lovable pet companion may be... bring them to church on October 4 as we celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.  Members of our EYC will be leading this special Eucharist and then after the sermon, Father Tripp will invite you to bring your pets forward for a blessing.  And don't forget, this is a liturgy where leashes, crates, and cages are usually very helpful!

St. Columba's Prayer Garden
A Peaceful Place To Pray, Remember and Reflect
As we consider how best to use our property, we are aware of the desire of many in our Parish family to have a sacred place for the remembrance of departed loved ones. A Prayer Garden becomes a peaceful, beautiful space for remembrance, prayer and reflection.

Serving @ The Place in Forsyth & Emmaus House in Atlanta
Ingathering Sunday - This Weekend, 20 September
In August, we collected a total of 206 pounds that was taken to a very appreciative staff at The Place of Forsyth County!  Please be assured that Emmaus House and The Place of Forsyth County are extremely thankful to get our donations each month.  With everybody getting back to normal routines, let's have a big push in September and continue through the rest of the year!  As always, the biggest needs are for canned soups and vegetables, canned pasta, canned fruit, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, and anything that can be stored for a long period of time.

Gardening @ St. Columba's
The Secret Garden
Have a green thumb and nowhere to exercise it? For several years now a few parishioners have had the enjoyment of working their own vegetable garden at St. Columba's. This is in an area directly behind the trailer units in the back. Currently there is one unit available, if someone is interested in having their own 10 by 10 foot plot of veggie growing potential. If additional interest is expressed, there is the potential to expand the growing area for more persons to enjoy. Gail Koch is coordinating this effort and can be contacted at via email or telephone 770-888-2790.
