The Knights of Columba is the name of the Saint Columba Men's Ministry and all men over 21 are eligible to participate, which is why you are receiving this email.  If you would prefer to no longer receive emails related to the Knights of Columba simply let us know by replying to this email and we will take your name off the distribution list.
       In our meeting last week we asked everyone to tell us what they feel the mission of the men's ministry should be, and to recommend one inward-looking event (home maintenance for housebound parishioners, construction of things to improve the property, managing parking for funerals and weddings were a few ideas that were discussed), and one event focused on the broader community (reviving the HEAT race, career workshops, etc., that would shed a positive light on Saint Columba's for those who may be looking for a church home).  

       The reason for focusing on a small number of events is to make sure our branding is not diluted and there are enough men available to make these things successful.  Also, please include your ideas for any social events you would like the Knights to consider (bowling, attending sporting events, etc.).  Please send your thoughts to Larry Hutson or Bill Parkinson by replying to this email as soon as you have the chance. 

        Our next meeting will be in mid-October, date to be determined, but in the meantime please consider joining the Knights of Columba for fun and fellowship on Sunday, September 13th as we cook for the Rally Sunday celebration (we'll begin setting things up around 9:00 am, continuing until about 2:00 pm).
