One of our youngest members is in need of our prayers.  Melissa Depa, whom we have been praying for at Mass for some time, is at St. Jude's Hospital undergoing treatment for leukemia.  She has a rare, aggressive form of leukemia and the transplant they traveled to St. Jude's to receive has failed. She is facing many challenges at the moment and doctors are trying to develop a new treatment plan.  Her parents, Joey and Erika, have asked us and all their family and friends across the country to gather in prayer this Wednesday evening at 5:00 pm.

I would like to ask that you join us at church  this coming Wednesday, June 3, from 5:00-6:00 pm for a special time of prayer.  A community of prayer has a power to restore hope, bring healing and wholeness, and reassure with the unending presence of God.  Please take some time out of your day to be a part of this community as we pray in a special way for Melissa.  And if you cannot make it to church this Wednesday, please stop wherever you are at 5pm and offer prayers for Melissa's healing, and strength and hope for Joey and Erika.

 

Heavenly Father, watch with us over your child Melissa, and grant that she may be restored to that perfect health which it is yours alone to give; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
