In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And just as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens torn apart and the Spirit descending like a dove on him. And a voice came from heaven, "You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased."
Parish Dinner & Annual Meeting
This Sunday, 11 January at 5:00 pm
Join us this Sunday for a delicious meal  (a foretaste of the wonderful smoked Boston pork shoulder the Knights will be preparing for the Super Bowl fundraiser in February) - and for a celebration of a whole lot of Good News that has taken place in our parish during the past year!  The Annual Meeting is a wonderful event in the life of the parish and it will be a great evening you don't want to miss!  The Knights of Columba will have the main portion of the meal taken care of and you can bring a dessert to share if you'd like.
Also at our annual meeting we will thank the members of our vestry who will rotate off:  Gordon Ralph, Todd Reid, andDon Swift, III.  Please join in thanking these three for their time and service to our parish!
We will also elect four members to our vestry.  Those nominated are:  Laura Dillon, Scott Doyle, Ellen Siegfried, and Jason Startt.
We are at a very exciting time in the life of our parish and opportunities for celebration of God's goodness abound in our worship together, in our praying together, and in our service and witness in the community and world.
Plan to come back to church Sunday evening for our parish  dinner, annual meeting, and celebration of the Spirit at work in all that we do together that makes St. Columba's a holy place where love is found, where all are named, and where hearts are freed to change the world.
