EYC: Walk the Road
September 28
1:15 - 7:00 pm
This Sunday (9/28), EYC heads to Emmaus House, our diocesan mission in downtown Atlanta, for the annual "Walk the Road" outreach event.
We'll have the opportunity to work on a couple of projects at Emmaus House and to meet many of the people served by this wonderful ministry.
If you plan to attend, please register right away so we can arrange for enough transportation to Emmaus House.

Backpacks of Love Program Resumes
Backpacks of Love is a ministry serving children and their families who are homeless or otherwise in severe need. Suburban poverty is growing faster in metropolitan Atlanta than it is anywhere else in the country. Backpacks of Love ministry is vital to helping children not go hungry during the weekend when there is no school meal service available to them.
Your help is needed now more than ever. Volunteers can sign up to buy food once a month, twice a month, or as a fill-in substitute.
Sign up this Sunday at church or send an email to Kathleen and Ron Kraynick.

Fall Festival
The date is set and plans are underway for our annual October-Festival. There will be brats, hotdogs, chili, and cornbread. There will be bouncy houses and games for the kids. There will be football on the big screen for tailgaiting and fellowship. And of course, up for grabs is the coveted title for "Best Chili of the Parish." Enter your famous, secret recipe chili to compete for the prize! The evening finishes with a movie and s'mores and for those who wish to stay - a campout on the grounds. Mark your calendars now and plan to join us for some of the best fall fellowship and fun around! If you'd like to enter your chili for the contest or if you could help cook or set up, click the link below.
