Youth Sunday & Parish Luncheon - May 19
|
Last Day of Sunday School + Teacher Appreciation + Youth Ministry Celebration Sunday + Parish Luncheon

Mark your calendars now for Youth Sunday! On Sunday morning, May 18 at both our 9:00 and 11:15 Masses, we will give thanks for young people of our parish and our rapidly growing youth ministry program.
We will celebrate the success of another great year of Sunday school as we thank the teachers officially at the 11:15 Mass. And at both the 9 and 11:15 Masses, teenagers will be serving as ushers, greeters, lectors, chalice bearers, and one of our seniors, Emma Siegfried, will be our preacher that morning.
The entire day will conclude with a festive and delicious cookout at the talented hands of our Knights of Columba. They will provide the main dish, and everyone is asked to bring a vegetable or side dish to share. The cookout begins at 12:30pm. Please plan to join us for the celebration and parish luncheon at 12:30pm as we rejoice in the growth of our Christian Education and Youth Ministries! >> Please note: because the Knights of Columba will be busy at the grill for the parish lunch, there will NOT be a full breakfast on May 18. Doughnuts, fruit, coffee and juice will be available throughout the morning, though.

Golf Tournament To Be Rescheduled
|
Our annual golf tournament that was scheduled for next Thursday (5/16) will be rescheduled for sometime this Fall. We had low registration and heard from many about schedule conflicts they had with the date. So we will reschedule the tournament for later this fall. All registered golfers should have received an individual email already. Golfers and sponsors can be refunded their donation or can choose to apply the donation to the tournament later this Fall. For more information or questions, please call the parish office or speak with Karl Sammons. This is a fun event for the parish and community and we look forward to it later this year.

May 18 from 7:00-9:00pm
The Holy Oldies group (55&up) will hold their Indy 500 party on Saturday, May 18 at the church. The evening will be a time of food, fellowship, music, and fun. The cost is only $5 per person to cover supplies. Everyone is asked to bring an appetizer to share and a beverage of their choice. You can sign up at the welcome table on Sunday mornings or email Linda Sammons or Jim Edwards.

Saturday, May 18
The Buildings and Grounds Committee would like to invite anyone who would like to help lay the new sod around the church to join them in a week's time on Saturday morning, May 18. They will begin around 9am. Originally planned for this Saturday (5/11), the decision was made to postpone based on the weather reports for this weekend.
We want to express our thanks to all who contributed to this project. Donations exceeded the $5,000 goal!! So the project was able to be expanded a bit. Thank you for your generous support; we look forward to the continued improvements to our parish campus. The project began last Fall and has truly been beautiful and inspiring to watch all the hard work spring forth.
Tremendous thanks to Gordon Ralph, Jim Edwards, Jim Lambert, and Jim Duggan for coordinating the project and for all who have worked so hard preparing the grounds to receive the new sod and other plants.
