Thursday, May 16 beginning at 10:00 am
Registration is now open for the annual St. Columba's Golf Outing that will be held again at the Olde Atlanta Club Golf Course. A fantastic day of golf on one of the premiere courses in the area, great prizes and raffles, a box lunch, and more. The proceeds of the tournament every year benefit the building fund of the parish. Click the link below to register to play or if you cannot play on the 16th, you can use the link to make an online donation of any amount. Talk up the tournament - it will be a great day of golf on the recently renovated greens of Olde Atlanta Club! For questions or if you'd like to help with this year's tournament, contact Karl Sammons (via email).

We are continuing the sod project, began last year, to include the area between the building and the classrooms and also in front of the cross on the exterior east wall of the church, that you see everytime you enter the drive into St. Columba's. We use these areas for special events and the new grass will improve the condition of these areas. We are currently trying to raise $3,000 for the grass sod and ground preparation. Our financial deadline is Sunday, May 5th.
Please consider what you can individually contribute toward a $300.00 pallet of sod. Every $1.00, $10.00, or $100.00 helps toward our goal of $3,000.00. Please make your donation to St. Columba's by cash or check, earmark your donation "Sod Project." Please support this special project as it is outside of our operating budget for this year. We are excited about this project and continued improvements to the parish grounds as we move towards our 10th anniversary celebration this coming fall!

All rising 6th graders and parents are invited to attend. This will be the first chance to get a taste if what EYC is all about. All new EYC parents will get the chance to ask questions and get the facts on the program. Come out and join us as we hop in some potato sacks and jump for Jesus! United Thank Offering Sunday
|
May 5
Sunday, May 5 is United Thank Offering Sunday, and we will be collecting the blue UTO boxes which are found in the Narthex by the name tags. Take home a mite box to fill with your change in thanksgiving for the blessings in your life, and then bring it back on May 5. The UTO is a program of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole Church, founded by and administered by women since 1889. The UTO Committee is a partner in the mission work of The Episcopal Church, through every person in every pew. UTO is entrusted to promote thank offerings, to receive the offerings, and to distribute the United Thank Offering monies through grants. The Committee awards and administers these grants within the framework of the policies and procedures of the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society (DFMS) of The Episcopal Church. A special thanks to Wendy Martin for coordinating UTO Sunday for us.

We collected 233 pounds of food with the March food drive, which was delivered to The Place of Forsyth County-back up to the amount we have typically donated to the non-profits we support, so thank you. Let's please keep it going in the month of May as the need definitely continues! We will be providing April's donations to Emmaus House, collecting food each week leading up to the 3rd Sunday of the month (May 19 - Breakfast Sunday) which is the official collection day for the month. Biggest needs are canned soups and vegetables and anything that can be stored for a long period of time.
Donations can be placed in the tub located next to the welcome table in the narthex. Please begin or continue to help in this effort to assist local families in need - thank you!
