EYC Kick Ball Tournament @ Emmaus House
|
Sunday, April 21
12n to 5:00pm
Middle & High School EYC will join the diocesan-wide kickball tournament hosted by our friends at Emmaus House on Sunday April 21st. We will leave from the church promptly at 12:00 noon and return around 5:00 pm.
This is a great opportunity for us to contribute to a great cause and to enjoy a time of fellowship with parishes all over the diocese! We are planning for a large turn out, so we will need help from parents who are willing to drive our group from St. Columba's to Emmaus House and back.
Click Here for full details as well as sign up for EYC participants and for parent volunteers. If you have any questions, contact Easton or Zach.

May 5 @ 1:00pm
All youth 5th-12th grades are invited
EYC is hosting our first annual St. Columba's EYC Field Day on May 5th from 1 PM until 3:30 PM. There will be plenty of games, music, and fellowship. All rising 6th graders and parents are invited to attend. This will be the first chance to get a taste if what EYC is all about. All new EYC parents will get the chance to ask questions and get the facts on the program. Come out and join us as we hop in some potato sacks and jump for Jesus! Check out details for this event as well as our spring and summer schedule on the EYC page of our parish website (click here).

Parish Breakfast This Sunday
|
April 21 from 8:30-11:00am
This Sunday is the 3rd Sunday of the month. That means the Knights of Columba will be in the kitchen cooking up another delicious breakfast. The kitchen opens at 8:30 and the cost is only $3 per person with a max of $10 per family. We have a rotating group of breakfast teams; each team serves about twice a year. All men of the parish are warmly invited to join in this fun and helpful ministry. For details or more information contact Nathan Martin or Todd Reid ( click here).

Third Sundays
We've had continued overwhelming response to our two food ministry outreach programs. The Backpacks for Love program we recently joined has had a tremendous start. Our other food ministry program, our support for the food pantries of The Place in Forsyth and of Emmaus House in Atlanta, continues to grow. Please remember that the ingathering for these food pantries is the 3rd Sunday every month. Dry goods like pastas, spaghetti sauce, rice, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, shelf/box milk, and canned meats and vegatables are needed. Thank you for your support of these three outreach ministries!

May 18 from 7:00-9:00pm
The Holy Oldies group (55&up) will hold their Indy 500 party on Saturday, May 18 at the church. The evening will be a time of food, fellowship, music, and fun. The cost is only $5 per person to cover supplies. Everyone is asked to bring an appetizer to share and a beverage of their choice. You can sign up at the welcome table on Sunday mornings or email Linda Sammons or Jim Edwards.
