Vampire Squid


 

The Vampire Squid was first identified in 1903. However, it was misclassified as an octopus at that time. Contrary to popular myths this type of squid doesn't pose any threat at all to humans. Those stories likely developed based on the appearance of this species.

#1 Speigel Grove, Key Largo
On July 7 & 7 there is a trip for Advanced Open Water divers to dive on the Spiegel Grove and the USS Duane. Two nights lodging, 4 dives, breakfast, tanks & weights are included.

#2 Pennycamp Park,  Key Largo
On July 9 - 12 you can enjoy 6 dives (2 per day) in the beautiful Pennycamp Park. In addition to the dives, the trip includes 3 nights lodging, breakfast, tanks and weights

 

#3 Dive the Cayman Islands

June 17: The U-352 had 70 feet and Spar had 50 feet of visibility with bottom temperatures of 75 degrees.
 
June 18: The Aeolus had 80 to 100 feet of visibility and the water on the bottom was 76 degrees.
