Community Research Initiative (CRI) researchers answer critical HIV and Hepatitis C treatment questions that touch lives everywhere. 

 

This month, CRI Research Director Dr. Cal Cohen presented at the 7th International AIDS Society Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

 

Dr. Cohen Presents on New HIV Treatments


Dr. Cohen presented a poster on the STaR study which compared two single-tablet regimens for safety and efficacy.

In addition, he presented research that compared Stribild, a newly approved single-tablet quad regimen, with Atripla, an established three-drug single-tablet regimen.

The world's largest open scientific conference on HIV/AIDS - the 7th IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention (IAS 2013) was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from June 30 to July 3, 2013. The event was organized by the IAS, in partnership with Centre of Excellence for Research in AIDS, University of Malaya, a center established in 2007 to undertake HIV-related research with a particular focus on HIV and substance use and related co-morbidities including tuberculosis and hepatitis C.
