IPL Photorejuvenation and MicroLaser Peel
Greetings!

Fall is in the air and so are Fall facial rejuvenaion packages at Sanders Medical. Summer in the Okanagan can be wonderful but it often plays havoc with our skin. Progressive sun damage slowly robs our skin of it's youthful glow and tone. Luckily there are treatments available that can dramatically improve the look and feel of your skin.

If your fun-in-the-sun has caused unwanted age spots (uneven brown pigmentation) or if you are developing redness or capillaries on your cheeks and nose then IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) photorejuvenation can help restore your normal skin color and tone. For those who have had photorejuvenation treatments in the past now is the time to "touch up" your treatments to maintain the benefits of IPL.

DON'T SETTLE FOR NON-MEDICAL GRADE IPL

Not all IPL treatments are the same. Some spas have under powered IPL devices that don't provide enough energy to achieve meaningful skin rejuvenation. Also often coexistant with color changes to the skin are precancerous lesions called actinic keratoses. These need to be properly assessed and treated. IPL treatments should be performed in a medical setting once your skin as been properly assessed by a dedicated cosmetic/skin physician.

At Sanders Medical our IPL treatments are performed by the gold standard Vasculight Elite IPL system. Computerized and customized settings ensure optimal skin rejuvenation results.

MicroLaser Peel by Sciton

Some patients need more help for their skin due to the effects of ageing and progressive sun damage. The Sciton Profile resurfacing laser represents the latest in skin rejuvenation technology when more advanced results are desired. The Sciton Profile resurfaces the skin to a pecise depth to improve such problem areas as fine lip lines (perioral) and lines under and around the eye (periorbital). A MicroLaser Peel is a more superficial peel (usually 20-40 microns) and laser resurfacing is a deeper peel (usually 50-200 microns). Generally the deeper the peel the better the results but the longer the recovery time. Whereas IPL  usually has no to minimal downtime, one can expect 3-7 days of downtime with a good laser peel depending on the depth. The results can be outstanding however and are often worth the extra recovery time.
