A few weeks ago I received a call from a childhood friend that was rallying a couple of us Triestine (girls born or from Trieste Italy). The purpose was to simply get together as we've not seen each other in many years. But there was a hitch...we were getting together to make La Putizza. Our mothers made it for us when we were growing up...but none of us had ever made it ourselves, so we decided to give it a try....it was a fun day of laughter and memories of our childhood and honoring our mothers. And we had the absolute best time and the Putizza wasn't bad either. Here's our recipe if you'd like to try it. Un pocco de'quel buon di Trieste!

Make a Goal for your Home! 

 

Here it is February; did you make goals in January that you've already let go by the way side? No worries, you still have time for Goals!!!

Our lives are mostly surrounded by our home....where we come to hide from the world, heal our souls and grow in our families, faith and lives. So why not make goals, for our home the same way we do for our lives. After all we make goals to exercise more, eat right, read more, watch less TV, Video's and computer screens, visit and keep in touch with more of our family and friends, so why not do the same for our home.... Here's how to start even if it's February.
What kind of goal would you like to make for your home?

For real success I recommend that you should have SMART goals for your home.
In other words, instead of stating a general goal as, "I want to do something new with my home office.". You set a SMART goal something like "I will de-clutter the home office every Saturday morning in February".

 

Read the other ways you can set a "Goal"...not an "Excuse".... 

 

 
Top 5 Home Seller Mistakes

Equity sales (non-distressed homes) were 84.3% of total sales in California during 2013. Many homeowners sat on the sidelines, waiting to sell when they were back in a positive position. Many who sold last year received multiple offers on their properties.  Yes, buyers were clamoring for the limited inventory available.  Even so, those considering a home sale this year should avoid these top 5 seller mistakes.
Overpriced Home.  Unfortunately, an improving market sometimes leads to unrealistic expectations on the part of sellers.  Your neighbor's home may have sold for a hefty price, but if may have gotten there due to multiple offers on its realistic, on-market list price.  It also may have had a better location within the development, newer upgrades, larger lot and fantastic yards. Buyers will be aware of those differences, and prices should reflect the homes true condition.
